Very interesting all around. Never would have thought that was from Napa. Medium garnet red. A bit herbal and minty on the nose as well as some underripe cherries and menthol. Medium bodied with medium tannins (5.5/10). A bit of a spicy bite in the palate with red berries and anise. A bit harsh too with the acidity. Medium length finish. Not sure on how long to keep this around.

Apr 21st, 2019I shit you not... this is a stellar. Not moved an inch from when it was bottled. Smoke, fruits vanilla on the nose. Tannins are soft, buttressed with playful acidity. Consistent notes on the palette. No leather or herbs in sight, but lots of minerals. Glad we are enjoying this at its peak.

Jan 28th, 2017Typical Napa opulent nose with caramel, sandalwood and leather.
On the palette, the tannins are dusty, but still evident. Lovely dark fruits still persist, complimented with maple syrup. What a shame this is not produced any more. Drink these up, pronto.

Primary blackberry compote and cedar flavors. Balanced out at this point in its life. Really good, reminds me of Frank Family Vineyards with more acidity.
