Deep garnet red with a hint of ruby on the core. Lovely nose with a new world styled Italian Sangiovese coated with tangy spices, red berries, earthy and flowers. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. Nice and dry on the palate with roses, dried cherries, leather, earthiness and some floral spices. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2028. (92+)

I'm a real fan of Tua Rita and have happy memories of tasting through their entire range back in 2011. It probably included this, their excellent entry level offering. It is a deep, dark, but quite fresh, fruit driven yet nicely structured offering. At nine years, the tannins are fully resolved and it makes for excellent drinking drinking right now.

Perlato del Bosco refers to the red marble that dominates the soil. Love the nose. Mineral-driven. Small pin-point berries. Ultra smooth on the palette, with spice box and cinnamon. Finishes sweet, with black fruits and stunning texture - @ tua rita winery.
