Farmers for over 40 years, brothers Mark & Vic Trione own and cultivate about 600 acres. Pleasant aromas of fruit and flower notes. On the palate ripe cherry fruit with oak, cacao and spice notes. Firm tannins, medium+ length ending with oak and fruit character nicely balanced.

Unfortunately a disappointing effort from a wine whose 2012 vintage made an impact on me at a large tasting. There is some nice fruit and Chinese spice on the nose, but there is also alcohol, and the palate has little to no structure to speak of. Even just a bit of acid or tannin would make this a much more enjoyable bottle.

Fat... Flabby. The flavor profile is nice, but it doesn't all come together.

Dark blackberry fruit flavors with blueberry with spices.  Coffee and smokiness on finish. Would be nice with grilled meat.

Not very good. No expression, no length. Bad gift, little brother! And I hope this experience gets you on the wine bandwagon, finally...
