Lightness, not to be confused with either elegance or vapidity, but rather a state of mind. With Sicilian cuisine, one prefers to have the food lead and the wine follow (albeit closely).
Brilliant crunchy red fruit, mineral-palooza, spice, and some pencil lead gripping the tongue but not too sharply. Pass the Arancini per favore!

This tastes like a volcano. Minerals galore. Red berries. Acidic. But in a good way.

Fresh to death.

An Etna Rosso DOC, blend of 95% Nerello Mascalese and 5% Nerello Cappuccio, deep Ruby, purple edges, with aromas of ripe fed fruits, herbs and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, strawberry and red plum with pepper spice and herbs with a mineral tone. Medium+ finish, fine tannins, ending with fruit and a smoky earthy character. Nice value!

Juicy with red berry, kinda light and easy drinking. Great roast chicken wine. Beautiful, round flavors. Good value, I’d say.

Black cherry, cough syrup, brash acidity and tannins.. seems to all stich together with seared tuna.

Medium body, light aroma, but rich tannins and a hint of ash and cherry, paired perfectly with a veal scallopini.

NOSE: barely there…tiniest whiff of red fruit….dried cherry?

TASTE: light bodied, dried cherry and currant, a little clay … nice acidity …. elegant, but a little simple. I like it - but no way worth what I paid. 89.
