Bien Nacido Vineyard Pinot Noir

Intense, interlaced aromatics of black cherry, smoke, mint, and white pepper. Medium to full boddied with bright fruit and even brighter acidity! Dusty and mouth coating tannins mix with bright plum, black cherry, forrest floor, cola and smoke. The finished is long and smooth as silk.

For a 2004, this was/is still a big Pinot. Good amount of oak and I'd assume picked rather late. A bit big for me. That being said, well made.

Another winner from Tolmach. Still a bit young. The fruit is quite forward. Some Autumnal flavors peering through.

Prickly, brambly, stemmy red cherry and raspberry. Silky on the palate with a lingering rusticity. Impressed.

2012 vintage. Holding up rather well. Appropriate nose, velveteen entry. Light-medium body. Balanced fruit/acidity. Fairly smooth palate draw/experience. 2.20.23

Fruity, raspberries, and pepper spice at the end. Paired well with pork.
