Jun 17th, 2018Yum. Piedirosso from the foothills of Vesuvius, dark berries, medium bodied with a nice acid punch, and super soft tannins. I love anything from volcanic soil.

Feb 4th, 2018On the full body side. I liked that the alcohol level was only 13% compared to most CA wines of 16%... had it with Italian pinza and loved it!

Jul 26th, 2017Low-tannin, high-acid red bursting with cranberry and raspberry aromas. Very tight at first, but opened up after hours of decanting (maybe due to its age, as this wine is usually drunk younger). Very interesting, but missing the complexity I look for in an aged Mediterranean wine.

Feb 5th, 2017Solid Lacryma - not yet showing any signs of age, inky w/dusty red fruit, smoke, soil and well knit together - wasn't my 1st choice for a bolognese but sometimes you just drink and enjoy
