Quite a different personality from its predecessor in 2016. This one is hyper floral with scents of geranium and damp rose petals, followed by what I can only describe as a candied maraschino cherry quality on the nose. The palate developed a more defined profile with a full day of aeration, showing crunchy cranberry, fresh thyme and hints of underbrush. Decidedly more delicate than the previous two vintages, but with striking character and nuance. Excellent with seared salmon.

Bright vibrant mix of raspberry strawberry earth, bright cherry in the light body, but after 24 hours, revealing nice depth and concentration with a nice acid backbone to stand up to most any spicy dish or grilled meat

A more refined, ‘elegant’ wine than previous vintages, with a Pinot-like translucence of color, and a bright cherry feel in the mouth. Initially hyper-floral nose gives way to a damper, earthier aroma. Definite repeat. 2017 vintage 03 Dec 2020; Parsonage.

Floral notes. Candied red fruits. Nice acidity. Not as refined as the single vineyard offering previously had but good for weeknight lamb moussaka.

Favorite of the wine box yet! Light but had black fruit flavors

Light with a little Smokey quality to it. Fruity and easy to drink, but was a little overwhelmed by the dinner. Nice wine, but poor choice by me.

Bright from the outset and splash of pomegranate, red cherries, cranberries. Then blends with cedar, while the finish is long, light and acidic. This is 100% nerello mascalese.
