An excellent dinner at Marta was made more so with this gorgeous Tuscan wine. Great depth, intensity, complexity and a lovely almost velvety structure. It should be a few years longer in the bottle, but enjoyable now.

The 2015 Orma is fabulous. Pliant and resonant in the glass, the 2015 is a total pleasure bomb. Mocha, espresso, raspberry jam, rose petal, mint and cedar all race out of the glass in this stunningly beautiful, gracious wine from Orma. All the elements simply fall into place effortlessly. A closing flourish of aromatic intensity punctuates the finish. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, April 2018)

Fourth red wine at Table #3 at Oakton Wine Shops Bucket List Tasting.
Medium mix of garnet and ruby red. Dark cherries on the nose, almost black with purple floral notes. Heavy tannins (7/10) and medium plus bodied. Fresh palate with notes of cherries, spices and stones. Long finish. Drink till 2030.

First vintage of this wine. Winebow is now US importer beginning with the 2011 vintage. Estate neighbors Ornellaia. The 2005 has an uncanny Graves-like nose and texture. Excelled with a cheeky pairing of brisket fried rice.

One estate, one wine - 2 parts Cab Franc, 2 Merlot, 1 Cab Sauv. Born and raised in Bolgheri, imported by Empson USA. 94 WA, 94 WS, 100 points in our hearts. James Suckling will be very pleased.
