Oreno Toscana Super Tuscan Blend

Sette Ponti or "seven bridges," refers to the 7 bridges crossing the Arno River on the road from Arezzo to Florence. Blend of 60% merlot, 40% cab sauvignon and 10% petit verdot, aged 18 months in new French oak. Had this flagship wine sitting in my cellar. Beautiful fruit and spice aromas. Cherry and red plum flavors with tobacco and oak spice. Smooth and refined tannins, lingering ending with sweet earthy tones. Wow!!

International, boozy. Chocolate. Could be from anywhere.

Always a polished classy wine, with no Tuscan rough edges, for better or worse

Modern, not a fan as it seems soulless...needs more Italian character to isolate more of an identity.

Initial very soy sauce nose. but the palate not that soy sauce just sour. after some decanting the nose less soy and palate improve but not wotn

This Italian Bordeaux blend tastes nothing like Bordeaux. It is 15% alcohol and very powerful. Leave this wine out to breathe for at least 2 and preferably 3 hours. The wine has a spicy and peppery flavor that is perfect with Italian food. Behind the pepper there are strong flavors of earth and leather. An outstanding wine. This wine is likely at the beginning of its drinking window, so if you can store it, it may improve with a few more years of aging.

Rich and powerful. The nose features cassis, blueberry, cedar, and sweet spice, accentuated by incense, tobacco, and hint of dried flower. The lush and dense palate is ripe and concentrated but with good balance. The dusty tannins, though very polished, is still quite massive.

The 13’ is more akin to new world than old, and will benefit for at least additional 5 years of aging.

Tight but great. Way too early to give much feedback.

V13. Outstanding. Soft, dusty cedar nose. Smooth, rich, blackberry, currant and clove fruit. Dry, tight , peppery, chewy leather finish- all nicely balanced. Can't imagine drinking this without food!
