With every minute that passes this wine opens up. On the nose: sour cherries, Rose petal, savory herbs, Oak influence, leather, slight barnyard, I could go on! On the pallet: an acid attack, high acidity, tannins come in right after, they cover the pallet, then the fruit (sour cherry, dried rose petals), a long, sour, dry mouth finish. Lovely wine, I enjoyed the grip of the tannins and the dusty red fruit characteristics. I wish I could drink more Italian wine like this.

Huge potential. Needs decanting about 2-3 hours at least. Deep ruby, medium bodied, nose is strong of chilli, black pepper, dark fruits, peppermint. Strong tannins, strong acidity… bouquet opens to blueberries, goat cheese, herbs.
