Collosorbo's 2016 Rosso di Montalcino offers terrific density and plushness, qualities that are so typical of the wines from the southern reaches of the appellation. Succulent dark cherry, mocha, spice, leather and licorice all meld together in a deep, resonant Rosso that exudes richness and textural intensity. This is such a gorgeous wine. Great aromas of cedar and ripe tomatoes. Medium bodied with great acidity and smooth tannins. Not surprisingly, it paired incredibly well with spaghetti and lamb ragout. Great value for everyday Italian meals.
