Blackberry, black cherry, raspberry preserves, cassis, mossy earth, licorice and hints of oak. Great structure and moderate tannins.

The just-released 2013 vintage is 50% merlot, 30% sangiovese and 20% cabernet sauvignon. The color is medium deep purple and the nose is filed with forest floor aromas, tobacco and black cherry. It smells as though it has a higher proportion of sangiovese and the palate supports that impression with tight acidity to balance the silky tannins. Finely drawn flavors of plum and black cherry and a solid mineral core. I wish it were about longer on the finish. This is a technically correct wine, everything in its place but it is a little sedate for my taste

Le Volte strikes again! I prefer this wine with less age, but the '05 was super dark and saturated in such a way that the younger wines could only dare to dream to be.

The 2009 is drinking well. Great wine at a reasonable price point.

Dark ruby in color with a short, dark purple rim.

Tart on the nose with blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, earth, spices, peppercorn, forest floor and vegetables.

Tart on the palate with cherries, plums, blueberries, strawberries, pomegranates, light oak, earth, dirt, peppercorn, spices and herbs.
Short Tart finish with round tannins and pomegranates.

This is a nice food wine from Tuscany. Unbalanced and not good just by itself. One additional year in the bottle might do some good. This wasn't for me, though.

I'm not sure about the blend, but I feel Sangiovese and Merlot for sure.

A Good wine to pair with Spaghetti and meatballs. I Paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.

13.5% alcohol by volume.
