After opening two other bottles from the same vintage that were bad (one slightly corked - drinkable but no fun to be reminded of TCA every sip; and the other just flat) - this third bottle delivered all that could be expected including a haunting minerally-flowery nose with troufles and forest herbs; an elegant silky mouthfeel, and a looooong most refined finish!

Apr 2nd, 2021Finally trying the supposedly stellar 2010 vintage (best in over 15 years). Lighter ruby-brick red color; intense, inviting and complex nose with dark red fruits, spices, hints of clove and vanilla and some interesting minerality I have't whiffed in BdMs before; in the mouth the wine is ripe-fruity with very high acidity and high alcohol, fine but distinct tannins that linger on incisors during a long balanced finish where oak and sweet spices come out. More elegant, refined yet powerful compared with previous vintages. Mmmm! 2020 next try?!
