A nose of green peppercorn soup

A touching sharp at first, this settles with airtime.
Medium weight, peppercorn, cherry skins and pomegranate. Mojito mint, and tarragon with hints of river stone.
Citrus brings up the rear, with light tannins.
Interesting, and a good example of the terroir.

Medium ruby to purple; medium intensity aromas of black plum, black raspberry; dry, medium acid, medium minus tannins, high alcohol, full body, medium intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium finish, all about the fruit, a bit flabby

#garnacha #gredos #spain I like Telmo Rodríguez’s Garnachas from Gredos more than many of the others from this region that almost look and taste like rosé and which don’t have cellaring capability because the high alcohol together with low body and structure.

Not quite what I was hoping for but still enjoyable. The makings of a good garnacha from the Gredos are there, and it's definitely a silky medium bodied affair. It's just a bit dilute, probably from too much watering-back of an overripe crop. Telmo's wines are usually better, so maybe it's worth trying another vintage.

Light bodied, with a silky texture. Lively, fruity flavor. Very enjoyable.

New vintage left me with a similar feeling as the 2017. There's something quite nice here, in the fresh & lighter style that some do very well in the Gredos. But it just doesn't quite come together for me. Very subtle aroma and flavor, followed by a hot finish that a fleshier garnacha could easily pull off. 🌬️🍃

Light bodied, but 14.5%. Very nice fruit- bramble blackberries with some spice and solid tannins. Very nice wine. Suspect this is a drinker, not a keeper.
