Alion Muestra Ribera del Duero Tempranillo 2015

! !Yarivyo Wine Score!

A really nice wine, the Alion 2015 is one of the best Alion’s I drunk in recent years and it surprisingly ready to enjoy at this young age. Complex, rich, elegant , balanced all in one, notes of dark chocolate 🍫, plum, cherries, black current, earth and espresso all come together nicely in a full bodied wine that is rich smooth and have lovely well integrated tannins and a long delicious finish. My score 92, drink to 2026 — a day ago

Bodegas Estefanía

Tilenus Godello 2017

Beautiful, powerful Godello found in a bottle shop in central Madrid for 8,50 €. Bright golden color, layered and textural with spicy, floral and tropical aromatics. Lemon curd, grilled pineapple, fennel, salted caramel, lovely mineral finish and imbued with refreshing salinity. Great tension between ripe fruit and herbal notes. Highly recommended for serious value. Burgundy lovers will appreciate. — 22 days ago

Pétalos Bierzo Mencía 2010

Fruity and fresh still. Alcohol was noticeable at first and there was some bitterness in the finish but a bit of air cured that. — 3 days ago

Nisia Old Vines Rueda Verdejo 2016

Crisp pear, green apple, lemon verbena and honey leaping out of the glass. Very lively acidity, both round and supple in the middle. There’s a (dare I say) Chenin Blanc kind of flavor and aromatic profile to this that I love. Versatile, complex and fresh. — 17 days ago

Sabor Real Toro Tempranillo 2008

Re-Rating this 2008 in 2019. It’s taken on a Bordeaux like structure with more black and blue fruits than I recall where drinking this several years ago. The Spanish oakiness and suns still present, but has softened into a food friendly wine with a nice full bodied balance of acidity, structure and a touch of fresh fruit. — 4 days ago

Pintia Toro Tempranillo 2012

Andrew Holod

Drunk with the delicious mixed grill at Havana Parilla in Bar Harbor Maine. A Spanish wine list not to be missed if you are a fan.
Dark ruby color. Wonderfully integrated aromas of ripe fruits, leather, savory herbs and sweet oak. Polished texture that was as enjoyable without food as with.

Ribera Del Duero Tempranillo 2015

This may have been the bottle of the night. Black fruit and licorice on the pallet. Full mouth feel as you would expect with some other earthy tones. Yummy — 2 days ago

Holding very well. This is my third bottle in 3 consecutive years. A bit peppery as the years go by — 8 days ago

Cero Tinto de Toro 2018

Bright burgundy color with purple rim. Smokey aromas right of the bat. Rich vanilla, tobacco, and campfire. The fruit is fresh dark cherry and/or red current but remains secondary for me. The tannins are super elegant and savory, and it has medium plus acidity. Minerality comes through as wrought iron or horseshoes. Medium long finish. This is really an exceptional wine for the price. It should age at least 5 years or more, given the generous acidity and 15% alcohol. — 25 days ago
