#AgedWineTuesday
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim. What a beautiful color.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Showing cherries, raspberries, black plums, currants, oak, light vanilla, spices, cola, chocolates, earth, wet leaves, peppercorn, pencil lead, dark coffee, rust, blood and herbs.
Dry on the palate with a nice mouthfeel. Shows nice complexity at this point.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and pomegranates.
This 13 year old is starting to drink very nicely now, and will continue to age in the next 7 years.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show itself. Easy drinking once it opens up. Elegant with good structure.

Columbia county 2.0: end of a meal, nightcap of sorts. So so perfumed with dill & vanilla & tree sap, as if Willy Wonka decided to get into winemaking. Really just lived for a while breathing this in. On palate it’s remarkably agile & light, even though the body of red fruits is firmly medium boned. No signs of decay or slowing down- even the cork was perfect-easily can go on another several decades ( it feels). God what a treat. — 10 days ago

Full bodied with crunchy fruit and a very fresh and focused finish. Got a bit of a rustic feel to it, but in a good way. Berries, potting soil, licorice, orange blossom, herbs. Still on the young side. — 19 days ago
