Growers Blend Niagara Peninsula VQA Cabernet Franc

Good example of The varietal, a little bigger than I expected from this far north, but overall a pleasant wine.

well made but was hoping for more greenery & less plumpness.

Dinner mates loved. Me too. Now, if only we could get more @Tawse_Winery into BC market.

Medium ruby color.
Aromas of ripe black fruit.
Dry. Flavors of black fruit, fresh blackberry. Moderate tannins. Very fresh!

2015 Tawse Growers Blend Cabernet Franc from Niagara. Med body, with dark fruit, a little tobacco and slightly licorice like on the back end. Still some oak showing but otherwise well balanced tannins and good acidity. Had it open for 20 minutes but would prefer to taste again in 2-3 years. Ripe blackberries, blueberry jam. Good tannins, semi dry. Develops significantly with decanting. Very drinkable.

Really closed off at open. Medium in body. Agree that there is less of the greenery than expected. But as it opened it started to come around. Not bad ehh!

decent Canadian cab franc, if you ignore the price tag, I guess. too much oak.

Serve a touch chilled. Brings the fruit to life. Yum!
