Comtes de Champagne Grands Crus Blanc de Blancs Champagne Chardonnay

Robust - Bready and nutty to an extreme. Best on its own served ice cold - or with something buttered and rich. Dark golden color with a rich velvety texture.

No need to be my long-winded self. Exactly what you expect from a great champagne in a great year. Upside from here..

Pale straw lemon color with frothy mousse and lively bead of bubbles, produced only in exceptional vintages, grapes from Cote des Blancs. A nose of fresh fruit with yeast, nutty notes and floral scents. On the palate flavors of peach, berry and citrus flavors, floral with biscuit tones. Great balance with acidity, delicate textures, long finish ending creamy with toasty smoky oak and chalky mineral character. Nice! Drinking well now!

15 person Champagne tasting with friends.

The Taittinger Comtes is one of my favorite cuvées. I had this at the property just over a year ago and I felt it wasn’t quite there yet. It showed much better for our tasting. Flashed similarly to their 2007 which is drinking beautifully. Had the smaller bubbles, precision and focus on the palate. Well crafted. For me, just made WOTN.

but the 2012 brought a little more depth, breadth and volume to the aromatics, mousse and palate ~ the citrus included mandarin and the yellow fruit included mirabelle and golden sultana ~ along w various other orchard fruits ~ loads of pastry and hazelnut as well

A very nice rendition, not the 2012, but very nice. A nice year end out with a friend and colleague

One of the great vintages for this wine so rich & intense with a creamy texture. Outstanding!

My favorite champagne

Just the best and most elegant grand cru vintage blanc de blancs we know. Elegance and finesse in spades. All vintages are great and from 10 years old on, its always a threat.
