It was a warm afternoon, finally, today. We're grilling oysters and pairing wines!
Fun stuff, mineral + pear = yum

Loving the purity and focus of this wine. There is a very crystalline minerality throughout. Not a tremendous amount of fruit, but subtle pear, white peach and bitter apple skin notes show up mid palate. This one is all volcanic terroir, acid and earth but it brings it all with confidence and precision.

Jan 28th, 2019A tasty food friendly white. Pears, white flowers, nice acidity, a mineral kick on the finish. Good stuff.

Wow, this has a good bit more elegance and push mid-palate than I remember from the 2015. Bone dry with ripe citrus fruit and just enough earthiness.

Super floral, earthy/slightly truffled, hay/honey, mineral, like that of a river bed, preserved lemon, white peach, candied pineapple. Glossy like texture, with serious backing of acidity and slightly salty. Lees at play here I'm sure, but I doubt any battonage. Length is so subtle, yet so lengthy too.
