Very understated nose with blackberry, a bit of roast, leather & a touch of black pepper.
On the palate this is very, very elegant - much more Pinot like that a burly Syrah.
Very fine polished tannins, great depth, beautiful purity of fruit. So juicy, elegant & complex. Quite serious and yet so drinkable. A true beauty.

...not sure I agree with what I read... Bice in Palm Beach with Chris D. More Nebbiolo than Syrah to me... Color was off for a Syrah and it lacked the big red fruit... Having written that; definitely Italian and certainly good... Simply different... The dirt in Tuscany must do something different to Syrah...

Cortona makes stunning good Syrah, this guy makes the best and it's natural too.
Has all the substance for good Syrah dark color, crispy taste for Italian wine this is huge, I love it.
