Only a 1000 bottles made. Very voloptuous Brunello. I question the use of new oak in this wine which makes it very tannic. Great wine but not enough Sangiovese forward for my taste.

Dark cherries, cloves and dusty rose lift up from the aromatically stunning 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva PS. This gains in depth and richness with time in the glass, as hints of plum sauce and sage evolve. You can feel the sheer weight of the old vines here, soaking the palate with velvety depths of spicy red and black fruits, but with a cooling wave of minty herbs. Soft, sweet tannins gain a salty and very mineral twang under an air of savory herbs and tobacco, showing incredibly long and structured yet massively dark, like a black hole of concentration. Frankly, I underestimated this wine the last time I tasted it, and I am happy to upgrade my score. (Eric Guido, Vinous, December 2021)

Well developed fruit, excellent balance, soft tannins. Perfectly aged, first of a six pack. Lucky me 😊

Very good. Intense cherry and cool blue fruit. Nicely balanced with great clarity. A touch of sour and tangy tarriness- classic brunello but refreshingly not soupy or too hot. Drinking well now but some time ahead.

cassis, dark cherry, smoked bacon and spice. dense color and concentration with textured tannins and a generous mouthfeel...high intensity and rich...needs a few more years of bottle age to flesh out further.

besides that: two magnums for the weekend - a brunello on it's peak + perfect vintage!
