13’ Sinegal 80/20 blend of CF & Cab. 1st vintage. Decanting is a must at this point. Color Purple. Nose-Violet’s, tobacco. raspberries, Plalate- Black cherry, tobacco, malt chocolate, olives. Without a doubt one of a handful of CF’s that I would purchase from the valley each year. No need to rush & open a bottle. Cheers.

Day 3 in Napa in the books! Running a day behind on notes...Napa time runs slow AND fast!

Beast of a CabFranc! Nothing green or herbal here. Super aromatic. Violets, potpourri and tar. Really lovely on the palate. A streak of mixed berry pie down the middle wrapped in dates & plums. Expensive, but delicious.

@David A Lentine @Kirk Alexander Bottle #2 that was opened which again was so graciously provided to us by my Bud David Lentine!! I'm so happy that we started this wine swapping!!!! This was was big and lush with an incredible nose! Dark berries, definitely spices and earth on the palate as well. Rich and opulent. Just the way I like it! The only drawback to this bottle was the fact that we opened it next to the WOTN. All 3 bottles were absolutely incredible in their own way. It's truly splitting hairs when you are dealing with this type of quality. Thanks David!!

Super fruity at first blush but as it developed in the glass became significantly more elegant. Thanks @leon egozi for sharing and introducing us to this beauty.

Super dark deep ruby red. Dark chocolate like crazy all over the nose and palate. Tobacco and cigar box on the nose with some dark berries. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full body. Extracted and plush. Long dry finish with dark berries (blue and black), dried flowers and baking spices. A mix of nutmeg, cinnamon and some cloves. An absolutely killer Cabernet Franc, one of our top two Napa Francs this year. Drink till 2030.

This is juxtaposed to what we normally select. Loving the poise and grace of the varietal. Weight is perfect. Uber dry on the palette, with notes of of flowers and baking spices. Finishes compressed, but with excitement and fun.
