Amazing wine! Well balanced. One of my favorites wineries in Napa .
At home w some grill churrasco. — 3 years ago
Another 2nd day wine with 3 hour decant. Doesn’t have that typical fruit forward nose like the Sinegal. Distinctive & on par with old school Heitz. Hopefully new ownership keeps this style.
Store notes,
Lot C-91 is a new wine from Heitz, inspired by a very old one! In the fall of 1969, Joe Heitz played with creating a high-end blend of small lots from some of Heitz's top single-vineyard sites. He dubbed it "Lot C-91." Some 47 years later the current team at Heitz has once again taken select barrels of fruit from legendary sites such at Martha's (Oakville), Trailside (Rutherford) and Linda Falls (Howell Mountain), to create this Napa Valley "Super Cuvée." This wine beautifully showcases the incredible 2016 vintage in Napa, which I think will go down as one of the all-time greats. — 4 years ago
David Sinegal who put together a team of winemaking all-stars to bring their vision to life, a blend of 93% Cab Sauv, 5% Petit Verdot & 2% Malbec, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, floral spice and some cedar. On the palate rich fruit flavors of blackberry and black cherry with notes of smoky oak, tobacco and cacao. Well balanced with acidity, nice mouthfeel with fine juicy tannins ending with fruit and earthy character. Nice will age well! — 6 years ago

Sinegal – Cabernet Sauvignon – 2022 – Napa Valley, California, USA🇺🇸
Overview
A very classic Napa Valley Cabernet that delivers both power and polish. Structured, generous, and beautifully built, this 2022 bottling showcases persistent dark-red fruit, vibrant acidity, velvety texture, and a refined graphite core that speaks to its valley-floor origins.
Aromas & Flavors
Blackberry, cassis, crushed plum, graphite, cedar, licorice, and subtle baking spice — concentrated yet lifted.
Mouthfeel
Full-bodied with firm but plush tannins. A velvety mid-palate supported by bright acidity, leading to a long, confident, and harmonious finish.
Food Pairings
Dry-aged ribeye, grilled lamb chops, peppercorn steak, truffled potatoes, or hearty mushroom dishes.
Verdict
Bold, structured, and beautifully expressive, a quintessential modern Napa Cab with elegance to match its muscle. Will age gracefully. Cheers!
Did You Know?
The key on the Sinegal label isn’t merely decorative, it is modeled after the original skeleton key that once opened the estate’s historic Victorian home, still displayed at the winery today. This symbol honors the heritage of one of Napa’s oldest estate properties and represents Sinegal’s commitment to preserving its legacy. — 7 months ago
2019 vintage. Dark fruit, slight sweetness in a good way and very full bodied. Good. — 4 years ago
Very good. Hint of tobacco, soft tannins — 4 years ago
More pronounced nose than Sinegal. Rich, opulent palate. Long finish. Excellent. — 6 years ago
This was a beauty, just as we had expected. Just creates more urgency on the front and mid-palate than the regular cabernet. Finishes with style and elegance. Another reserve that shows its pedigree. Worth the cost of entry in my mind. — 6 months ago
Outstanding example of Cali Pinot. Even more so since this is 2012 vintage. Overripe cherries and coffee notes explode on the nose. The palate displays crunchy black fruits along with syrop de cassis. Superb grainy tannins combine with bright acidity. A reference point in Sonoma/Cali.

Day 3 in Napa in the books! Running a day behind on notes...Napa time runs slow AND fast!
Beast of a CabFranc! Nothing green or herbal here. Super aromatic. Violets, potpourri and tar. Really lovely on the palate. A streak of mixed berry pie down the middle wrapped in dates & plums. Expensive, but delicious. — 7 years ago
WOTN! Yes., you guessed it....another bottle provided by my friend David Lentine! If the Sinegal bottle that we opened is a Rockstar this bottle was Beethoven!! It's elegance and finesse was immediately noticed. Kirk's head snapped back to look at me after his 1st sip and said "the finish on this is long & complex. It has a lot going on!! WOTN".
There's a reason why this is their flagship wine & why Parker rated it 💯! I'm a believer. This was everyone's 1st Lail but it most certainly won't be our last. Stunning., simply stunning. Everything it did., it did Perfectly. Power with finesse, character with elegance, complexity with purity. It was a true experience tasting this wine. We all left this in our glass for as long as we could. Each sip was relished until the long finish was a distant memory and then we took another. I'm going to have to dig deep in my cellar to find a proper "Thank you" swap for that insane bottle of wine!!!!
This truly deserves the title "Awesomeness in a Glass"!!
😍💯🍷🍷💯😍 I'll even throw some applause in there......yes it was that good!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 — 10 years ago

Very dark color. Fruit is not driving the bus. Pepper, tannic, a little chalky, medium acidity. — 2 months ago
