Big juicy, fruit forward powerful black anf blue fruits, jammy, but holds thru the whole palette. Tannins and acid in balance and enough to stand up tonthe alcohol. Baking spices, vanilla, dill bring it all together...i miss American oak..

Blend of 78% Cab Sauv, 12% Merlot, 7% Cab Franc, 2% Petit Verdot & 1% Malbec, deep Ruby red, concentrated youthful aromas of ripe black fruit, subtle nutty spice & creamy chocolate. Aged 24 months, 85% new & 15% 1-year used American oak. On the palate fresh fruit flavors of sweet plum, black cherry & dried blackberries, with bits of oak & cacao trying to peek through. Tannins are present, but just a tad persistent, reflecting its youth. Long & elegant finish with vanilla & slight mineral tang. Drinks well now, continue to develop over the next 15-20 years, why wait it’s perfect now! Outstanding! Tasting Sample!

A standout to me based on the youthfulness of this bottle shared by @Mike R, thank you. Underbrush and mint on the nose. While still maintaining a bright red color that is still intact. Gave me devious reminders of a Penfolds Grange. Mint, iron and blast of minerals prevailed on the palate. Supremely balanced as some of the pre 97’s in the flight gained tannins.
