The nose on this is out is this world. Decanted 2.5 hours and it’s still evolving in the glass. This immediately entered my all time top ten cabs. Deep fruit. Even coffee in here at times. Seamless tannins and perfect acidity. Must track down more of this, pronto.

This is Shafer’s first vintage of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Deep Ruby with big fruit aromas of ripe black and red fruits with some floral and herbaceous notes. On the palate this wine delivers fresh blackberry, currants and complex flavors of espresso, mint and savory cinnamon. Long opulent finish, well balanced with acidity ending with fruit, toasty vanilla oak and earthy character. Wonderful!

Krallig men smidig Cabernet. Ganska hög koncentration, dyr fatbetonad smakprofil. Svartvinbärsgelé, nypon, flinta, choklad, mörkrostat kaffe, blåbärsris. Stadigt tanningrepp i avslutet som adderar längd och torrhet. Bör lagras en handfull år till för att harmoniera ut.

Heady AF, aromatics on steroids. Taste doesn’t translate but deeeeep black currants, hand squeezed concentrated Australian red licorice and whiffs of oaky spice.
