Pretty young Napa cab. Blackberry, espresso, chocolate, good acidity and chewy tannin. Maybe not quite a “value” cab at $100, but definitely delicious now with potential. — 5 years ago
Another alien delicious wine from Saxum. Somehow they find a way to capture all of the more hitone Syrah characteristics while still featuring a beautiful fruit core and deep concentration. Smoky violets, blackberry, blood orange, raspberry and still a very youthful tannin structure and acidity. Love love love!!! — 6 years ago
All you want from a california chard. Great value at <$40. Fruit and acidity not buried under oak. Pineapple, almond, and butter notes. It’s all there:) — 5 years ago
Beautiful balance. Not overripe with good line of acidity and and kind of a Stoney tannic grip. Black Cherry, tobacco, and good spice. Good now, but will be interested to check back with this one In a year or two. — 5 years ago
Still a little young, but absolutely hypnotic. Black raspberry, vanilla, cherry/root beer, rocky (mineral) blueberry and a lift from a almost floral component. Tannin structure is still there, but was pleasant with our food choice. Delicious!!! — 6 years ago
Have had this wine more than a few times over the years. All the classic Oaked Cali components are there. This vintage showing a little less floral quality than previous vintages. Beautiful fruit, pineapple, butterscotch, popcorn kernel, vanilla and bright acidity. Really a pretty wine. Very hookable!!😍 — 6 years ago
Very young powerful example of the varietal. Great concentration without being heavy. Beautiful acid line making the blue and black fruits reflect cranberry tones. Killer spice component and firm tannin holds everything together. This winery is batting 1000 with me. — 5 years ago
One of my favorite wines. This beauty has everything I love about Paso Syrah in excess. Blue/black berry fruit over paso minerality, and booker’s signature aromatic profile. Almost like a coconut root beer spilled on crushed rocks. Much more red fruit and acidity on the palate as well. Almost Saxum like. Absolutely gorgeous. Won’t be opening another for 2 plus years. Still youthfully tannic. Calmed down on day 2:) — 5 years ago
This bottle marks the first time I have had a booker wine with this much bottle age. IMO, still a long way to go with this one. Deep blue and blackberry flavors with rocky minerality, and vanilla flavors (almost root beer like). Love pretty much anything Booker makes. This wine included. — 6 years ago

1 hour decant. The epitome of cassis on the nose. Heavy bodied and serious concentration. Blue and black fruits, earthy and tobacco tones go in and out. Nice structure but certainly very drinkable today. <$100 — 5 years ago
