Great for village level…dark/brooding red fruit, musty/earth, sappy pine needle aromas with great acid and slight spice…

Big red and some black fruit...big chewy tannins which I wasn’t expecting...smelled elegant, acid high...muscular burgundy red...

Hits well above its weight. Lots of purity of fruit (all red), which is just starting to get slightly desiccated around the edges. Lots of porcini powder and meaty elements which I think are Brett-derivative. None of the thinness usually associated with the vintage either. Little to no wood-influence, and if it's there, deftly integrated. Strange we don't see more of these wines on lists or in stores if this is generally indicative of the domain's quality.

Incredible density coupled with such pure essence of Burgundy. What a wine!

Plenty of oak but acidity and complexity too. The fruit seemed to withdraw slowly over the course of 3-4 hours, in a bit of a recoil. Suggesting the need to give it a few more years? Overall, this was an interesting and expressive young Burg.

Fruit is all dried mid red and giving off a sense of dried figs as well. It's past it's prime but still drinking well with a nice elegance. Also, has a light hint of cooked green bell pepper in the finish. 89 vintage!
