Tart cherry lingers in the nose.

A touch of citrus, mingling with blueberry applesauce pie, jolly rancher blue, goose berry.
Light tannins with a strong, acidic backbone, much like a candidate running for an office..

Still troubled by a prickle of CO2 but once it blows off, convincingly brambly fruited, sapid/stemmy and soil inflected.

The expression of the Scott Paul La Paulée Pinot Noir is very much in line with what I would expect from the 2012 vintage in the Willamette Valley. A year with textbook growing conditions has endowed this Pinot with suitably lush red-fruit notes—black cherries and crushed raspberries are underpinned by notes of iron, forest floor, decomposing leaves, and a whisp of smoke. The impression of lushness carries over on the palate and is lifted by moderate acidity and an enduring, lightly spicy finish. Sample

Nose: smoky blackberry pie. In the glass, The smoke carries over as toasted oak, followed by dark red cherries and tart boysenberries. Purchased from @garagiste

Warm cinnamon like bark of a nose, spicy and welcoming.
Tar little berries, smooth scone like yeastiness, and zippity kumquat acidity.
Low tannins, hints of those twigs and branch berries, the occasional fresh St.Johns bay leaf.
A perfect Pi in a bottle on 3.14.

Really showing what a good willamette pinot can do with time. Bright core of raspberry cola. Earthy spice. Dried aromatic herbs. Dried violets Mushroom cedar with racy fresh acidity. 2005 is right where you want it now.

Solid entry level Oregon Pinot. Nothing to write home about.

This was great. Love the texture, a wave of flavor washing across the palate. Fresh exotic berry character. Sappy, juicy finish. Needed some reduction blow off.
