Limes, minerals, then sour apple dominates the finish. Kinda salty, too 🤔

1 person found it helpfulMar 5th, 2020Peach fuzz and pea pods, anise and blackened sesame seed. Jicama-papaya, jellied lime. On the palate, at first you don't see the pert acidity coming, but then it's wrapped in such a cozy blanket of creamy mandarin zest, excellence and cool that it quickly becomes...balance. Apricot rocking the finish, backed by Baked Alaska. Why not? Heck yes.

Palate is rich as I expected and paired pretty well with a honey nut squash and ricotta pasta. It's just missing a sense of snap, freshness or vivacity which would make me excited even though there is good underlying acid

Nov 5th, 2016Serious Lodi wine here. One year in barrel no topping, one year topped up. ML, acid, minerality. It's big but fresh and nimble.
