Such an amazing Spätlese. Honeyed nose with apricots and citrus and lime flower. Subtle yet decadent. Unreal clean minerals. So much like a scene in nature. Stunning. Palate is so nimble. Incredible purity, depth and balance. So sappy and round yet terrific cleansing acidity. This is magical. So much going on. So fresh and delicate at the same time with creamy citrus and lime fruits. Let’s see what air does as my score will go higher.

This 2016 Riesling wine is made from late-harvested grapes, so it is sweet. However, it is sweet in a different way than a dessert wine is sweet. There is no layered sugar, no raisiny note. I get the sweetness of the grapes, and the minerals which accompany them. Stone fruit is apparent, as is the smell of a wet driveway, a whiff of ozone and the faint petrol notes that begin to show in Rieslings over time. This may be one of the best examples of the grape that I have had.

A Delicious sweet Riesling from Germany.
Sweet on the palate with high acidity.
Balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Feels more like a Gewürztraminer.
Not as sweet as I expected. Really gorgeous.

Super clean fresh nose. A mid-palate bursting with beautifully balanced fruit wrapped in a ball of acid. An extended finish that will grow after a few years of aging. @James Forsyth thanks for the thumbs up , Stubborn Seed.
