Whiffing a farm here, hay, animal dander, decomposing matter.
My favorite kind of nose, as I knows it will lead on to a big bodied wine with layers of dark fruits.

Dark raspberry, fruit pith, a touch of vegetal, and lots of eucalyptus. Bold, spicy, high octane, Saturday night.

55% Grenache. 30% Mourvèdre, 15% shiraz. Candy and clay in the nose. The wine is big and a little cloying. Unlike most wines, I find I like it less as I drink it.

Babs really likes this. I found it a little too tannic and dry. But it did open up with fruitiness. Was a deal at LAW. 12.95

Red fruit, some cherry I think, not quite full-bodied, low acidity and tannins but slightly meaty finish from the mouvredre, perfectly balanced blend.

Started very nice with cherry and strawberry bouquet. Dissipated toward the end of the meal.

2014 Vintage: Front bright cherry with smooth transition to flint-earth finish. These all evolved as the wine opened...Black berry - essence of wood match smoke - tar finish remaining smooth and delicious!
