A delicious Barbera and one that I rather regret drinking now rather than in a decade hence. It is dark, intense, packed with red fruit, plums, pepper, some spice. Dense but maintains elegance. Very good.

Beautiful cherry aroma, full, fruity, a little vanilla, nicely balanced acid, but slight minerality at the end that I didn't love

Difficult vintage, showing greater ripeness than 1995 with marginally lower acidity. Blood orange, savory herb, nutty. Just a nice beverage.
