This took about 5 hours to come good but it is great stuff. Better than the Barrail du Blanc. Fresher and more vibrant fruit and a much better body.

NOSE: rich, earthy berries.
TASTE: a little more one dimensional than expected, but still quite good — perhaps it is just “subtle” and “young.” Clearly “Wine” with a capital W. Earthy berries as the nose — the fruit became much fresher with air (1-2 hours). Should be much nicer in a few years. 92.

Very smooth, good complexity, enough tannic backbone to drink over the next several years.

Middle range right bank. Needs an hour to show some red fruits and likely a few more years to shine. Faint cigar box and cinnamon spice.
