Very complex with lots of elegance and finesse made in a traditional style.

From a challenging vintage, this turned out remarkable well. Tart red fruits, earth and spice. Much better as it sits in the glass.

A bit stubborn on day 1, but second half of bottle showing very well on day 2. Decant several hours!

Perfect bottle of Chianti and ready to drink out of the bottle. Rich and earthy, but finishing with Chianti’s astringent bite.

Not sure what other reviewers are tast but this '04 Ducale Oro with a side clam linguine in red sauce up here in Cape Cod is delicious. Pretty nose with some rosemary or pine scents and vibrant fruit make for a delicious wine.

Opening a bottle, which needs to breathe, Vivid Ruby with dark crimson edges and aromas of red fruits and spice on the nose. On the palate ripe cherries, plum and dark fruit come forth along with hints of sweet spice tobacco and dark chocolate. The finish shows well developed tannins and balanced with sweet oak. This wine is a tremendous value. Outstanding!

15 years on and quite lovely. A touch of VA but not offensive. Stewed cherries, chalk and dried herbs.
