Rose Rock
Drouhin Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir
Grippy tannins. I am becoming a big fan of this appellation. Stronger body. Delicious.

Aug 9th, 2024Fresh raspberry, roses and sandalwood. Bright fruit aromas and flavors with juicy and viscous mouthfeel. Supple, firm tannins that build slowly and spread on the palate. I’m picking up on elements of both basalt and sedimentary soils here, great range and balance. Brilliant wine!

May 19th, 2018Winemaker received masters on Pinot Noir in Dijon...this makes sense tasting this wine. New vineyard for Domaine Drouhin which doubles their vineyard holdings. Stunning fruit and acidity.

Nov 29th, 2017My glass sucked for this, so keep this rating with a grain of salt. fresh open had a lot of ethanol aromas, some red fruit. After opening up, Hint of almost maple and cherry. Cranberry and small hints of the ethanol remain. Subdued darker berries. Early tastes have the twang of lemon acidity balance of tannins. Medium body. I am sure i would have liked this a fair bit more if i had let it open up more before starting, and had a proper glass. Will revisit if i have the chance. Likely id rate it higher. Steak and lemon butter asparagus pairing.

Jan 19th, 2025Dark garnet color. Complex aromas of lavender, violets, rose petals, red cherries and cinnamon. Red, blue and black berry fruit flavors with touches of baking spices, orange zest and fresh basil. Beautiful earthy note on the long finish. Medium bodied with soft tannins tannins and nicely balanced acidity. Delicate but bold at the same time. Excellent!

Jul 14th, 2022My favorite of the 2014's from DDO that I've tasted. Another wine from Veronique that feels like it will age forever. Drastically different than the Dundee Hills wines from 2014. The tannins are rippin right now but it feels like they'll come together and make a super age worthy wine. She didn't think so...
