Nice holiday bubbly!! Founded in 1982, Roederer Estate adds oak-aged reserve wines to all their blends to create complex, dry and harmonious sparkling wines. First Brut California sparkling produced by Champagne Louis Roederer. Pale lemon straw, nice mousse and bubbles for this 60% Chardonnay & 40% Pinot Noir blend. Flavors of crisp Apples with creamy mineral tones, nice balance with acidity. Long finish ending with oak, lemon and nutty characteristics. Consistent. Very nice!

Sunday night a I had a sparkling wine I needed to open and this Roederer Estate Brut Anderson Valley Sparkler foots the bill.

On the nose there is lemon, green apples, apple blossoms, brioche and minerality.

The palate brings notes of lemon, pear, green apple, almonds and wet flint rocks.

This wine is fully complex with a medium body and a creamy mouthfeel, there is medium + acidity that leads us to a long crisp fresh finish. A very clean a pleasing wine that I could drink anytime. Have a great week ahead and stay safe. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Medium lemon; medium intensity aromas of yellow apple, lemon cream, mango, white peach, vanilla, pastry cream, pastry crust, sour cream, dairy, roasted hazelnut, buttered toast; dry, medium plus acid, low, chalky tannins, medium alcohol, medium body with mouth-filling frothy mousse, medium plus intensity flavors; flavors consistent with aromas, very rich; very good

A little FA Cup Quarter Finals; a little smoked salmon and Jarlsberg; a split of sparkling wine that’s been discovered in the back of the fridge. Persistent bubbles. Brioche, meringue, nuts. Really decent finish. A solid new world sparkler.

Because bitcoin doesn’t go up forever, and we can’t drink Cristal every night. Fortunately Louis Roederer produces a dynamite sparkler from their estate in Anderson Valley for a song... wholesale price for a case of Roederer Estate Brut is roughly the retail price for a bottle of Cristal. When you factor in the price, this is stunning. Outrageous complexity meets mouthwatering deliciousness. Loaded with baked and toasted overtones, the apple and lemon somehow manages to make it back to the surface. Refreshing and yet heavily spiced. You should have a bottle of this in your fridge at all times. And this was, deservedly, #25 on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 of 2017.
