Pajè Vecchie Viti Barbaresco Nebbiolo

Writing this note rather after the fact (I have quite a few to catch up on). Gorgeous, classic styled Barbaresco. Nothing overt stands out. Just beautifully balanced and pretty much the ideal of what a Barbaresco should be.

Strong Barbaresco. Nice strawberry on the nose and palate. Gives way to leather, tobacco and earth.

Loads of strawberries on the nose. Light mid palette. Finishes a touch tart. Great oak treatment..

Great expression of Barbaresco, in the perfect drinking window.

This is drinking very young with its muscular & tannic structure showing dried herbs, licorice, mineral, rose petal & tobacco notes. Great wine that just needs more time.

Such a beautiful wine with its balance & elegant style. Displaying notes of dried cherry, savory spices, rose petal & tobacco. Still youthful that will only get better. Unfortunately the pricing for Roagna has almost doubled in the past year.

This was drinking youthful, med bodied with an elegant feel that had high acid, structure & tannins

Incredibly stunning. Feral complexity with deeply floral red fruit aligning with mushroom, earth and cigar. Extended contact with 70 days of maceration--unreal.
