Golden Apple, overripe pineapple, mango, Meyer lemon to pledge, lime zest, toast, almonds, waxy mouthfeel, touch of melted butter, jasmine, mixed greens, excellent chalkiness, grainy limestone, beautiful rich wire to wire finish.

Burgundy prices have soared to new heights. Better to go taste them vs buying. Except good year/producer Village and Bourgogne.

This one not worth the $100 plus.

First shot at this box of wine.
Great wine. Full bodied, nice buttery with vanilla. ripe tropical fruits, bit of citrus. Nice acids.
And a long lasting mouthfeel

Sweet almond, apricot pit, lemon curd but with bright floral acidity. Not a long finish, more medium. Complementary with rich scallops and contrasting with clean halibut at Cafe Beaujolais in Mendocino in October 2022. Recommended pairing by Chef Julian. Good with lemon curd cheesecake too

I have decided that the whole pairing of drinks with food is really over rated. Really getting into pairing drinks with other drinks. This combo does not suck (for the record the negroni needs extra Campari to make it really kick).

2013 vintage. Tasting again after nearly two years. As predicted, really really knitting together nicely. Undercurrent of mineral substrate weaving a reduced string of citrus, lemon curd and apricot together. Was really nice. Even better now. Subtle finish just glides imperturbably along.

2013 vintage. Lime and spring flowers on the nose. Solid acidity paired with judicious oak. Subtle notes and tones but very harmonious with a little mineral/lime kick on a decently long finish. Classy. I can see it really knitting together and improving in a year/year and a half but growing to a 9.3/9.4 in three years.
