Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This was a nice surprise. Good balance and fruit was indicative of cab franc and merlot.

Aromatico, pasas y berries oscuras! Sedoso en boca,, frutas oscuras, pasas, chocolate, datiles, tanino balanceado. Para un 2009 esta en su punto pero en su momento, puede resultar dulzon de acuerdo al paladar. Muy balanceado.

Once this baby opens, it’s big and rich. Lovely bottle of wine! Big bold fruit.

Thick black berry baking spices juicy flavors mid finish

Clove, turmeric and little bit of anisette on the nose. Chocolate, raspberry and some bing cherry on the finish. A good deal of sediment in the bottle. I don’t think it will improve from here but drinking nicely now.

I've held onto this one for 5.5 years. As unlikely as that sounds, I'm not sure the style of this one really would have been ready to go much sooner than now. Black inky pour. Nose of blackberry, black licorice. Entry of black fruits, blackberry currant, graphite, pie spice, surprising acidity. The middle shows that thick and well-integrated side of this wine. Tons of sediment on the finish. Although this wine is rocking right now, tannin seems to be dropping out at a really quick pace, so I would probably make the decision to drink these within a year.

This was amazing and will only get better smooth like a babies bottom. Tannins easy. Yumalicious

Big, dark Napa Cab. Had a strong alcohol flavor at the onset (not surprising given the 15.3%) but mellowed quite a bit in the glass. Nice tobacco notes and a long finish.
