You know it's a good vacation when you've actually lost track of what day of the week it is! This wine is just beautiful and drinking so well right now. Blackberry and creme de cassis explode on the nose and on the palate as well. Slight hint of chocolate as well but the fruit flavors lead here with the slightest sweetness. It's lush and full bodied with tannins that are nicely integrated at this point but still leave some dryness in the mouth. This is beautiful and will be fun to try this again in a year or two (if I can keep my hands off it!).

Can’t afford to buy Realm anymore - their prices went through the roof right after their scores did the same a number of years ago - but as one of their original customers from the 2002 vintage I still have quite a few of the earlier vintages in my cellar. This 2009 Beckstoffer is absolutely fantastic. Classic Napa cabernet with great aromatics, great fruit along with some secondary flavors, and impeccable balance leading to a long, lingering finish. Just brilliant.

09' it's very similar to the 07 insignia (consumption). Not in styles of wine… It's just closed enough. The true potential will take time. Revisit this wine in the next 3 -10 years?!?
