Checks all the boxes: Fresh, elegant, very drinkable, great value, (chalky) minerality, dry raspy and subtly salty finish.

Dark and deep purple but medium bodied. Mencia blended with Bastardo and Garnacha Tintorera. Floral and bright but with good drying tannins, red berries, blackberry, grapey (!), bitter cocoa, ink, mineral, some anise. A little peculiar and I like it. From Flatiron Wines, Feb. 2019 NY Times 20 under $20 list.
