Oct 17th, 2022Smoky orchard fruit on the palate, with a pinch of herbs and some crushed rock. A bit of salinity, too. Already in the nose this shows some weight and this is confirmed on the palate.
Not the lightest of Silvaner’s, with a solid frame and foot structure. Apples fill this with a touch of green apricot and more mineral, saline notes. You can feel the joy vintage a bit (13% alc in Franken!)
Nice mouthfeel, good balance - a great food wine.

Nothing to think hard about and nothing bulgy. It has what you’d want from the most basic from a good producer. Smokey orchard fruits and minerals and tingly acid.
