Age has suffused the wine with tawny oxidation, tingeing its flavors of red currant and cherries with touches of bitter almond, cured meat, and oiled mahogany. The body has great freshness and crystal clarity, radiant with Kirsch and cassis. It was excellent with pork enchiladas with roasted garlic, chilis, and pimentón. It’s a special wine, elegant in its restraint; drink now or soon. 13.5% abv | $30
