The Fabric of the Land Napa Valley Red Blend

Celebrating my 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ wine!! It’s been fun learning so much about wine and meeting new friends beyond the app! I wanted to pick a really good wine for this milestone but I happened to have this one in my wine fridge and it meets the criteria I wanted for this post. It’s full bodied, fruit forward and has a smooth long finish. @Delectable Wine please add this wine to your list thanks!

A blend of Petite Sirah, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Petit Verdot, Quilt pays tribute to Napa Valley’s wines, sourced from a patchwork of prime Napa Valley vineyards. Tried ‘17 recently, now ‘18. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, sweet herb spice and cedar. On palate flavors of blackberry and raspberry, slight jammy notes, smooth, with vanilla, oak and leather notes, well balanced. Dusty soft tannins, nice mouthfeel, on long finish ending with toasty oak and cacao tones. Consistent quality, has room to age. Tasting Sample! Like ‘17 better.

Another excellent can with Bill & Emily

Smoky at the outset. Blackberries, cassis, figs and touch of leather in the initial flavors. Tannins are rich and mild acidity in the finish.

Big, jammy, young but quite drinkable in its youth. Thick syrupy legs.

A little sweet on the nose, and initially on the palate. But as this wine continues to open up more flavors come out. Still undecided but not horrible

Almost perfect. Could be a little more interesting.
