Riserva Montefico Barbaresco Nebbiolo

Another crusher! Big wine. A lot of front end action that pops into the dry cherry finish. Very very good.

We had the 2008 Montestafano on 8/30/15. Just a wonderful Barbaresco. Silky texture. Raspberry and some leather in a medium bodied wine with a smooth finish. Tannins smoothed out with an hour of air time.

Great structure & balance... Ripe strawberry / cherry fruit.

The joys of 16 years…patience is a virtue.

Beautiful. No decant. Tannins interwoven across the fruit with with fruit, flower and a little bit of that Nebbiolo tar on the finish. At 15 years (and no decant) this is built to last. Haven’t written a proper note in some time so figured I owed @Ron R given his great notes. 🤙🏻

Awesome! Wish I had taken more out of storage before lockdown. They’ll rest easy for now.
