Riserva Ovello Barbaresco Nebbiolo

Im huge fan of Produttori, but this bottle just didnt deliver tonight unfortunately....slightly cloudy, wet earth, fruit hidden, no typical aromas , possibly storage issue?? 🤷🏻‍♂️ oh well...it happens..

Delicious. Floral perfume jumps out of the glass. Tart cherries and plums.

Cool, structured, incensed. Tannins are already smoothing out nicely. Clarity

Tasted a bit restrained at first, decanted in a travel bottle. Really started to open at dinner about a hour later and seemed to continue to open throughout the meal. It showed cherries, other fruits some dried and slight bit of tar. The finish was long and smooth to the end. Out to dinner with a group of wine friends so very busy and a lot of wines to taste but this one stood out to me. At Anthony’s in HH

Dust, earth, fruit and tannin in perfect balance. Would be happy to sit and smell it, but happier drinking it.

Still has a long way to go. Tannin still coats the teeth after decanting for two hours. Try again in 5 years, if not 10.

Fruit and dry earth. Spicy and full bodied. Delicious.
