This was an absolute joy to taste. Just enough age for the fruit to start to fade and for beautiful notes like wet earth, dried roses, and tea to really really shine.

Not usually a fan of RR Pinots but this one was structured, silly and balanced. And didn't have that sweet RR fruit I dislike so much on lesser producers.

Superbowl wine that we enjoyed with pork tacos, macaroons, and chocolate covered strawberries. Jam on the nose, with notes of raspberries, pepper, leather, slate, and minerals. Medium to full bodied that has jam notes that soften as it opens up.

These guys make elegant pinots but this one was maybe too much so. Also quite a bit of bret. You know it's pushing the limit when your wife says the wine smells like chlorine. Interesting wine but not my style.
