Rubio Toscana Sangiovese Blend

This wine is medium-dark garnet. It has a fresh, ripe nose with a hint of funk present. The palate is full of bright, red fruit. Cherry, currant and raspberry flavors dominate, with a brisk mouthfeel of acidity and tannins. A savory side takes its cues from the earthiness found on the nose. Pair it with spaghetti and meatballs.

Easy drinking. Smooth. Well priced.

Consistently good. The 2012 is as good as the 2011. Cranberries and soft spice. Chianti-esque without the greedy, spongey tannins.

Surprisingly soft for a Sangiovese. Liked this quite a bit, as it didn't sacrifice character for its elegance.

Super tuscan, 80% sangiovese, 20% cabernet sauvignon. Smooth, aromatics earthy & curranty. Given past its due date-surprised at how much stuffing is left. Lucky to be the recipient of our neighbors generosity-parent emptying out his wine cellar...

Great spice and black plum.

Medium body. Bright red fruit, especially cherry and raspberry. Bitter finish.

Thanks to my children for the Father’s Day wine. We grilled carmelized onions with burgers. This was nice. The Sangiovese stands out. Very soft ( the Merlot). Don’t know the % of those and Cab Franc.

A good solid Sangiovese - cherries with a bit of complex. Decent value.
