Bussia Cicala Barolo Nebbiolo

Vintage 2009 | Every wine taster is entitled to at least one deviation, mine is that I am not so fond of Barolo. This wine is balanced, chocolate and coffee in taste, souplesse. But also that earthy mineral stinking smell.

In a very pretty place with itself.

Large-scaled, pushing Nebbiolo-boundaries to the limit, with its expansive fruit, spice, tannic grip and mineral-lazed finish.

Best wine I tasted at the Grand Tour (including Haut-Brion, Ornellaia, et al.)

Full and very rich Barolo-expression with outstanding minerality, bold tannins and brooding fruits.

If there was a First Family of Barolo something tells us the Conternos would be it.

Beauty

Superb. Very subtle black licorice with a full flower bouquet. Has a long life ahead as it still is so very tannic. Love this wine.

Decanted for an hour before the party in my mouth began. Deliciously balanced tannins while bursting with jammy flavor! Love❤️
