Big nose of jammy red and black fruit mixed with licorice and cocoa powder (magic marker?) Blackberry and black licorice on the palate with leather and dusty tannins. Dark fruit, spice, and tannins (well integrated) on the finish.
4/23/7/4/4 + 60 = 92 pts.

Unfortunately I could tell it was an '11 without even looking at the bottle.. A little green and austere, but with time it faded. Still big fruit and good structure with an alluring nose.

Either dramatically over the hill or just not that good. Completely disjointed. Oak and glycerin poking out with little keeping it together.
