I am super-sensitive to oxidation and I’m detecting some premox here. The color is the first clue. An alarmingly dark brassy gold. Nose is not as premox-y as the color, but the fruit is on the way out. Surprising acids however, and, of course, intense Auxey minerality. It’s OK but I’m disappointed given the producer and the vineyard.

One of 9 Premier Crus of only 1.35 ha of PC in Auxey-Duresses, this is a thriller. It tastes of oatmeal, biscuit, anise, fried safe & drying nectarines.

This had nice richness, balance with lemon, citrus, stony mineral & racy acid
